Chin Rests

The Dresden-style ebony chin rest fits all violin and viola sizes.  It is a medium sized chin rest with a slightly smaller and deeper cup that mounts beside the tailpiece. The cup gradually diminishes where the chin rest extends over the tailpiece. The lip is nicely rounded from end to end and finely worked into the comfortably formed cup. This chin rest sits to the left of the tailpiece.

The Guarneri-style ebony chin rest fits all size violin and viola sizes. It has an arched plate, suitable for players who like to hold their violin towards the left. It is a large chin rest with a medium depth cup that mounts over the tailpiece. The lip is square-ish and nicely rounded. It is also slightly rounded as it flows off on the treble side.

The Tekka-style ebony chin rest fits all size violin and viola sizes. It has an arched plate, suitable for players who like to hold their violin further towards the middle. It is a large sized chin rest with a medium depth cup that mounts next to the tailpiece and extends slightly over it. The lip is nicely rounded yet clean and sharp, giving an arched effect. This chin rest sits to the left of the tailpiece.

The Flesch-style ebony chin rest fits all violin and viola sizes. This is a flat circular shaped chin rest with the feature of being able to be played either with a centre mount or placed slightly to the left. It has a larger sized chin rest with a slightly shallow cup that can be mounted over or on either side of the tailpiece. The lip is nicely rounded and becomes a little sharper as it descends slightly toward the edge. This chinrest generally sits over the tailpiece.
